It has been reported that Pramface will return for a third series in 2014.

TVWise reports that BBC executives have made the decision to recommissioned the BBC Three comedy for 6 new episodes, but this is yet to be officially confirmed.

The show follows the lives of Jamie and Laura, who had a baby together after a one night stand. The second series ended with them becoming a couple.

Chris Reddy created the series, which stars Scarlett Alice Johnson and Sean Michael Verey as the main leads. With a supporting cast including Angus Deayton and Anna Chancellor.

On average the first airing of the show was being seen by 600,000 viewers, which is a high audience for BBC Three.

When the second series ended, Telly+ started a poll asking if fans wanted a third series. The poll has had over 3,200 responses with 99% saying “yes”.

Earlier this week, BBC Three announced that Bluestone 42 will return for a second series.

ITV have this evening announced that Broadchurch is to return for a second series.

The series has been a hit with viewers since launching on 4th March with 9.1 million people watching.

David Tennant and Olivia Colman lead the cast in the gripping drama which concluded tonight, revealing details of Danny Latimers killer.

Of the commission of a second series, ITV’s Director of Television, Peter Fincham said: “We’re delighted to be commissioning a second series of Broadchurch. From the moment the murder scene was discovered, viewers became gripped by the series, and we’ve been genuinely thrilled by the audience response. David and Olivia’s performances and Chris’s cleverly crafted scripts have created a truly compelling drama.”

Creator and writer Chris Chibnall said: “The whole Broadchurch team has been delighted and properly gobsmacked by the response from ITV viewers. When I first talked to Peter Fincham and Laura Mackie, ITV’s Director of Drama about Broadchurch, I mentioned that if people liked it, there was another very different story we could tell afterwards. I’m really thrilled we’re going to tell that story too.”

Executive producer, Jane Featherstone for Kudos Film and Television added: “It’s such a privilege for Kudos to be able to work with Chris and ITV to bring the next chapter of Broadchurch to our screens. And although we’re giving nothing away right now, I can tell you it’s going to keep on delivering surprises and scale.”

The second series will go into production next year, with details on any returning characters and plots tightly under wraps.

Comedian Bill Bailey heads to the jungles of Indonesia in the footsteps of his hero, Victorian naturalist Alfred Russel Wallace, to understand how he came up with the theory of evolution independently of Darwin. Wallace was a brilliantly eccentric British explorer and, unlike Darwin, he came from a humble background and had to pay his own way by collecting animals. He survived months living in the jungle, man-eating tigers, and headhunting tribes to scoop Darwin to the theory of evolution. Wallace changed the way we see life on earth but has since been written out of history. In the first of this two part series, Bill retraces Wallace’s explorations from the jungles of Borneo to the exotic islands of Indonesia, encountering orangutans, flying frogs and extraordinary bugs, on a mission to understand how Wallace came up with the theory of evolution, and to win him the recognition he deserves.
